Harefield Gymnastics & Dance is based within Harefield School and welcomes children from 3½ years old across our recreational and competitive pathways.
All taster sessions must be pre-booked and confirmed by email.
No walk-ins accepted. Sessions are allocated based on age, ability and availability.
What to Expect From Your Taster Session
Your child will join one of our gymnastics sessions and be supported by our experienced coaching team. We aim to create a positive first experience where children can build confidence, learn new skills and enjoy being active.
Our coaches will help your child settle into the session and ensure they are working at a level that is suitable for their age and ability.
How to Book a Taster Session
1. Submit Your Request
Complete your taster request through our secure club portal.
2. Session Allocation
Our team will review your request and contact you within 72 hours to allocate an appropriate session based on your child’s age, ability and availability.
3. Confirmation Email
You will receive full session details and arrival instructions. Please do not attend until you have received confirmation from our team.
Before You Attend
Please ensure you have received your confirmation email before attending your session.
- Our coaching team will welcome your child and guide them into their class.
- Please bring a named water bottle.
- No food or fizzy drinks are permitted in the gym area.
What Should My Child Wear?
For safety and comfort, please ensure your child wears suitable gymnastics clothing:
- Comfortable fitted sports clothing such as a leotard, leggings, shorts or a t-shirt.
- No school uniforms or loose clothing.
- No hoodies or clothing with zips.
- Barefoot or socks only.
- Hair tied back securely.
- No fashion jewellery or watches.
- Unremovable earrings must be covered with tape or plasters before the session.
- Unremovable religious jewellery must be securely covered.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my child need previous gymnastics experience?
No. Our recreational gymnastics classes welcome complete beginners as well as children with previous experience. Each gymnast is supported at their own pace.
What age can my child start gymnastics?
We welcome children from 3½ years old. Our coaches work with children across a range of ages and abilities.
Can parents watch the session?
Harefield Gymnastics does not have a viewing gallery, so parents are unable to watch sessions from inside the gym area.
This allows our gymnasts to stay focused and enables our coaches to provide the best possible training environment. Our coaches will ensure children feel welcomed, supported and settled into their session.
What happens after the taster session?
If your child enjoys the session and you would like to continue, our team will provide details on how to enrol and find the most suitable class.
What type of gymnastics does Harefield offer?
Harefield specialises in acrobatic gymnastics alongside recreational gymnastics classes for children of all abilities.
Parents & Viewing Policy
Harefield Gymnastics & Dance is not a viewing gallery gym.
For safeguarding and to ensure the highest coaching quality, parents do not remain inside the training area during sessions.
We operate a structured drop-off and collection system, allowing coaches to maintain full attention on all gymnasts.
